Get ready for the food to start flying as dueling Chefs compete for the title of 2011 Iron Chef Tucson held at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort.

This is the 5th annual Tucson competition, and just like you see on the fun, fast-paced hit television show, a surprise ingredient will be revealed and the competing chefs will face off in a serious culinary battle! Our guest panel of judges will sample the end results, and determine who will be crowned the 2011 Iron Chef Tucson, all in front of approximately 1000 attendees.

This year’s event will also include a two day “Culinary Experience” where products and services that cater to the “foodie and culinary” clientele will be showcased (100% of the eight tasting tickets for the Iron Chef competition will benefit Juvenile Diabetes).

The Plan

We will have various areas that will have businesses which will highlight products and services for attendees interested or passionate about food and culinary arts:

•     Possibility for cooking demos from Chefs that did not win the competition rights.
•     Food purveyors sampling products
•     Station DJ’s and TV personalities present to be involved with cooking demos
•     Appliances and kitchenware presentations.
•     Patio and outdoor display areas
•     Stella Artois – Golden Eagle sampling of 3oz. products (Iron Chef Title Sponsor)

    2011 Iron Chef and Culinary Experience will include

•     Displays of Appliances
•     Cooking demos at various kitchens
•     Kitchen Gadgets
•     Household items for cooking and the kitchen area
•     Food Products & Services
•     Dining and BBQ Grills
•     Restaurants and Chefs that entered the Iron Chef Competition

Saturday and Sunday will be the “Culinary Experience” from 10am-5pm each day in the large Ballroom. Sunday will include the Iron Chef competition from 4:30pm – 8:00pm where there will be a VIP reception, and Iron Chef Competition in the Kiva Ballroom.

This event will be promoted during a three month period on three TV stations KGUN 9 TV, CW of Tucson, COOL TV, and four radio stations – 94.9 MIXfm, 104.1 The Truth, Mega 106.3 and ESPN AM1490.
